SIGN MY SKIN begins with one man’s attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most signatures tattooed on the body — an extreme act of collective art that raises a simple question: why do we choose to mark ourselves forever?
As filmmaker François Garcia follows the record attempt, the question turns inward. Tattooed since his teenage years, he begins to examine his own relationship with ink, identity, rebellion, memory, and the stories we carry on our skin.
Moving through personal encounters, tattoo culture, and the people shaped by it, SIGN MY SKIN looks beyond the surface of the body to explore how tattoos have moved from taboo to cultural language — intimate, public, painful, beautiful, permanent, and always evolving.
What begins on one man’s skin opens into a larger journey about identity, belonging, transformation, and what remains once the ink becomes part of us.
Every name leaves a mark.
